The Farnsworth House Estate

An internationally respected icon of modern architecture owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and operated by Landmarks Illinois as a museum, this Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed weekend retreat is nestled on 60 scenic acres on the banks of the Fox River. Arrive at the Visitors Center to browse the gift shop and enjoy the theater presentation while you await your docent led tour which includes a ½ mile walk on the property and entry to the house.
